SIGMA plate heat exchangers offer optimal solutions for your production process. To maintain this reliability and performance over the long term and ensure the safety of your production process, we offer a diversified service concept tailored to your individual needs.
Our service center at our headquarters in Bretten coordinates the deployments of our national and international service specialists. When parts need to be replaced, we use only genuine SIGMA spare parts to ensure your operational reliability.
Our specialists in your area are available to answer any process engineering questions you may have and/or to develop a specific service concept.

Spare parts service
Genuine SIGMA spare parts ensure greater reliability in your production process and avoid unplanned downtime. If replacement parts are needed, a comprehensive range of original spare parts is available in our central warehouse at our headquarters in Bretten. By documenting previous equipment deliveries, we can determine the quality and design of the initially delivered parts and ensure that replacement parts meet the proven original Schmidt quality standards. If new production is required, the parts can be made available or procured within a very short time.
Reliable supply of spare parts:
- High availability of spare parts, even for older and discontinued SIGMA models.
- High operational reliability thanks to the use of genuine SIGMA spare parts.
- Fast delivery worldwide of original spare parts for SIGMA plate heat exchangers.
- Optional installation of parts or modification of the device by our qualified service technicians.
- Testing (e.g. water pressure sample) and assembly of replacement plates analogous to the last known operating conditions.
Reconditioning
The SIGMA reconditioning service offers a cost-effective, high-quality inspection of your SIGMA plate heat exchangers or heat transfer plates. In the event of wear, particularly of the plate gaskets, we offer professional cleaning and inspection of the heat transfer plates.
The plates can be refitted as necessary with original SIGMA gaskets within a very short time. If continued use of defective plates is not possible, completely new plates are usually available at short notice.
All plates undergo a pressure test in our test center before being put back into operation.
Reconditioning of SIGMA heat exchangers offers:
- High operational reliability thanks to the use of genuine SIGMA spare parts.
- Minimal downtime due to short lead times.
- Comprehensive testing and evaluation of the plates by our specialists.
- On-site servicing or repair at the Bretten plant.
- Pressure testing of all plates before being put back into operation.
