Chemical industry

API Heat Transfer is a recognized market leader in the chemical industry, thanks to our decades-long track record of success with our Schmidt SIGMA plate heat exchangers. We offer solutions that deliver superior efficiency and operational reliability, low capital expenditure, and flexible capacity for a wide range of applications, including the cooling and warming of base, intermediate, and end products, heat recovery, and temperature control of containers, reactors, and autoclaves.

Our plate heat exchangers have become an important component in many chemical production processes thanks to their CIP or mechanical cleaning capabilities, and the use of special materials for critical media. Our Schmidt SIGMASTAR® evaporators can be used for virtually all evaporation processes. They are especially suitable for problematic products, viscous streams, slurries, and liquids prone to contamination that cannot be processed with falling-film evaporators. For extreme temperature and pressure applications, our customized shell and tube heat exchangers from Basco provide a solution.
